HOW IT WORKS
We deploy capital in portfolios of initiatives that complement each other.
Single grants and investments rarely move the needle by themselves. We build clustered, place-based portfolios: groups of aligned initiatives working towards a shared set of objectives so capital, knowledge, and relationships compound.
Anchor or institution
Rooted, trusted, shaping the sector
A maker or producer
Keeping value local
A land or housing effort
Workforce stability
A cooperative
Shared ownership
A community lender
Capital that recirculates
2026 GRANT RECIPIENTS
Initiatives already supported.
At the beginning of 2026, we supported 22 initiatives with grants. These initial grants are early examples of initiatives doing great work in the region. We are learning from these initial recipients and see these grants as an initial step in the direction of our portfolio approach.
Circular Materials & Industry
Regenerative Food Forestry & Land

HOW YOU CAN ENGAGE
Two ways you can put your financial capital to work.
Philanthropy
We utilize a philanthropic vehicle to offer flexible, patient capital and support that helps initiatives reach the point where other money can follow.
Investment
We also have a blended finance vehicle for investment capital seeking both a return and regenerative outcomes.
WHY THIS IS DIFFERENT
Value stays in the region, and initiatives build local agency
Retaining Value
We design portfolios so that most of the value created stays in the region rather than being pulled out of it.
Building Local Agency
We back initiatives that share ownership and decisions with their workers and communities.
